Studies show that having traumatic life experiences can trigger out of body experiences and existential thoughts. Transpersonal psychology is exploring these aspects of the human experience. Transpersonal experiences may include dreaming, meditation, and various states of consciousness.
Deep meditation and introspection can be a crucial part in the healing process. "There´s alot of value to gain when exploring our subconscious, as long as we stay grounded and have integrated experiences. We need to stay open to different perspectives to avoid dogmatic views", says Diana.
Trauma is not just found within the individual but also in society as a whole. Accepting, healing and becoming conscious of patterns in our culture and our own, individually experienced trauma are important ways of integrating these life experiences.
